Got to visit the Bangalore palace on December 1, 2007 afternoon. Here are some pictures. The palace was beautiful. But the charge was ridiculous. It was Rs. 100 per head. And if you want to take pictures, you have to get picture taking permit for Rs. 500. Absolutely ridiculous. I guess this is our way of promoting tourism. And that is too much greediness. More on that in my later posts. When we went, there was a Timesjobs fair also going on. The whole place was looking like a garbage can. That convinces me that we in general dont give a shit about cleanliness. And remember that majority of people coming here were for IT and ITES jobs. OK why am I saying this? Because dont even make the mistake of associating education with cleanliness. These are all "educated" lot who came for the job fair. Freaking made a mess with plates, glasses all around.Anyways, I think have deviated and moved towards my frustration.
Visit the palace and enjoy it from distance :-)

Ha nice little blog.. i have to agree with you on teh stupid prices they charge to visit places and they actually charge forigners more.. i find tat very stupid and also chargin extra for a camera. i was at teh australia zoo and i would have felt bad if they asked me to pay more cos i was a forigner or pay more cos i was carrying a camera.. wen wil my dear country change the way tehy make money?
I also agree with values being taught along with lessons in school.. Clean india is only a dream to me as of now.. i wish to see a day wen citizens will look for a bin to throw their trash..

500 rupees is not worth for nude paintings ..i also read on internet , that they have opened it (palace)for visitor to compensate the maintenance charges of palace..
